The atmosphere was charming, very rustic, I could feel the spirit of the hard working Japanese staff. I was disappointed by the lack of other meats besides pork in the menu. That's were my one star vanished. Very good vegan ramen !

I ordered the creamy tonkotsu ramen with ajitsuke egg (1280yen). The braised pork and chashu was super うまい!The creamy tonkotsu soup was full if flavor, and the thin noodles were soaked with the soup's umami! The ajitsuke tamago was so nice, soft and velvety. Too bad they are replacing the ajitsuke eggs to normal soft boiled eggs from 1st April. So get those ajitsuke tamagos before they're gone!

This ramen shop is simply amazing! They greeted us and welcomed us in. They also have a multilingual menu! Be sure to get there early as it's a small space and a line forms quickly!

Never seen a small space as well packed with people enjoying their food. Great vegetarian ramen in a huge portion. Super friendly staff and the open kitchen is a show

Small place. Ok ramen. The creamy broth ramen tasted better than the clear broth ramen. Clear broth ramen soup base tasted like instant noodles soup base. Still have room for improvement.

Pretty tight space but exceptional service and food. Server even had the foresight to offer my clearly Caucasian-self a fork to save me the embarrassment. Also has a great vegan ramen.

Best ramen I had in Japan. Small cozy place but the owner greets everyone at the door to take orders. The quality and taste were the best I found while traveling through this wonderful country.

Absolutely tiny place, but the ramen we had was fantastic and exactly what we were hoping for. Quick service, decent price and no problems or complaints at all. Recommended!

Small shop, good vibes, great food! A little more expensive than other ramen shops but you also get more in your bowl

The miso ramen was delicious. Very filling, and you can have extra noodles for ¥150 if you are still hungry. The staff are friendly and they have an English menu.

A tourist trap! With so many positive reviews had to check this out and ordered the (pricy) Vegan Ramen. What came had NOTHING do do with the actual photo in the menu and the 2 guys working there (hardly spoke any English), were just smiling agreeing with me that that's the case. I'm visiting Japan A LOT and never felt "cheated" when it comes to food. Well, as they say, there is a first to anything.....

The pork was incredibly soft and the broth was rich and tasty. Nice and cozy atmosphere too, I'll come back again in the winter I think. Also, there's a lineup place outside the door, so don't go in without lining up like I did at first >.<

Quite underwhelming & overrated. Lighter soup base, not as flavorful. Quick & efficient service. Mix of tourists and locals.Had the #1A "Kyushu Jangara" ramen which is the mild tonkotsu, vegetable stock & chicken stock soup. Expected the soup to taste richer. Taste is very light compared to other ramens. Noodles are to the softer side so it gets a bit overcooked after soaking in the soup.Second bowl we ordered is the "dry ramen" aka best in Kyushu. This is something different & better than the Original Kyushu Jangara ramen.Won't return & would probably skip.

Checked this place out for late lunch based off the reviews. It is a great spot that is budget friendly without feeling like you get a budget tasting meal. There was a line but many good places do. They have the menu in 4-5 languages and also a vegan option. This place is NOT good for groups of more than 3 as it is small but the food is quickly served after being seated since they take your order before you go in. Photo 1: miso ramen with egg, pork and spicy cod roe. The miso was great and not salty like other miso ramens. Photo 2: tonkotsu with garlic oil and pork.

Ended up here on the search for a ramen place that could accommodate myself and my pescatarian girlfriend. Hadn't come across it in my research before the trip, but reviews were good. And they were right! I got the Kobonchan ramen... A tonkotsu ramen with burnt garlic oil. Top 3 bowls of ramen I've ever had! The vegan ramen was solid as well! Only had to wait 10-15min around 5:30pm too, which felt very short after a few 2+ hour waits during our trip.

Wow. This place is amazing. We were bumbling outside and they welcomed us right in. The ramen was absolutely delicious. I don't even know how that egg was so incredibly tasty, but we were so happy to eat this bowl of food. Very fast and kind service. Highly recommended.

I ate here in October 2019 and I had a great experience. The food was amazing and the interior has such a cool design to it that it really enhanced the experience. You won't see much else like it in Akiba, definitely a must go if you're about!

Great place for noodles near the arcades. This place may seem a bit compact but the food packs a punch! Also there is a great soda to try, with a marble inside. A bit of fun to try and drink it!

Tried their 3rd best seller - the one with more garlic taste! Really amazing. The price is very reasonable with that amount of sides on top.And they offered menus in a few languages like English, Chinese, korean, Japanese So need not worry.

Finally found another well adapted Japanese cuisine! Lovely vegan ramen! This is a very small place though! Cozy I guess but we managed to fit 7 of us spread around the place which was great! Food came out fast and was very tasty! Highly recommended for vegans / vegetarians.

Best ramen I've had in a very long time! Better than your Ippudo or Ichirans! This is a really cosy shop nestled behind the shops in Akihabara. It's a super rustic feeling shop where you feel like you step back in time a little and get a sense of what older Tokyo might have been like.I went for the creamy pork bone broth ramen and I just can't put in to words how well it went down! Quite excited to get back out to Tokyo for this ramen!

Vegan shoyu ramen. Simple, light, delicious. I paid extra for additional "vegan chashu" probably wasn't worth it, but still good. Vegan kaedama is ¥200 instead of ¥150. Offer white pepper, black pepper, sesame, chili, garlic paste, vinegar to add to your ramen.

Felt pretty sick after eating this. Noodles were so soft, like over boiled old pasta. The broth tasted pretty water downed as well. The pork had a really off putting gamey smell. Honestly not at all worth the price. The best part was having a nice cold water pitcher next to you to hydrate after a long day of walking. Would stay away from this one, there is way better ramen than this.Edit: My wife and I ended up with food poisoning after eating here, which really put a damper on the rest of our trip.

Really tiny place, usually packed with people. But it's one of the few vegan-friendly places in Tokyo where you can try authentic Japanese cuisine with your non-vegan friends. Although the options are very limited for vegans, that's the first thing you'll see on the English menu (yes they have menus in English and the staff try to talk in English to foreigners:)) and the soy ramen is actually quite delicious! They have branches at other tourist spots too. Don't hesitate to drop in for a meal.

Please ignore the negative reviews of this place. Complaints about lack of diversity in the menu for selling only Pork?! It’s like saying a fish and chip shop sucks because it only sells fish and chips lol. THIS IS A TRADITIONAL RAMEN RESTAURANT. Choices are limited and focused for a reason. Soup is ultra flavourful, go for garlic infused one if you’re looking for deep flavour, if not the creamy soup is already great. Skip the cod roe if you wanna save. And yes this is better than ichiran!

Questions & Answers

Every shop is the same. Authentic pork bone ramen is a precious soup made tens of hours with fire. For that reason small bowls themselves are small. In addition, the Kyushu system is fine noodles. Even the same grams look less. In addition, ingredients including boiled horse shrimp will shrink if boiled so it changes to a considerable size. It is embarrassing to me that things like that do not know the Ramen noodles say such things. In the first place, it is the Junka that I started as a teacher 's eating tool in order to teach children how to talk about Burukan cram school. If you say so, the head office is making soup on the 3rd floor, but since other shops are basically delivered, I wonder if the soup feels warm.

Not too salty IMO - but saltiness is each to their own.
